Carne con Papas
When a Cuban hears “meat and potatoes”, they think Carne Con Papas. After all, that is the exact translation. So while the idea of meat and potatoes would conjure up an image of a T-bone steak and a baked potato for many Americans, a Cuban or Cuban-American would pine away for this savory and delectable stew. Like many Cuban recipes, this dish makes great leftovers and can even be made a day or two ahead. In fact, it tastes even better the next day.
