Almond Poppy Seed Cakes
Morning, noon, or night, a bite of cake is always a good decision. My cake is almond poppy seed, (instead of the usual lemon poppy seed). I think it adds more depth and warmth. This particular cake is a spin on an Armenian family recipe that was shared with my family over 50 years ago, and has since become a family favorite. Baked in muffin tins, these little cakes are the perfect sweet, or after dinner dessert.
